NAUTORS SWAN 55

With the Swan 55, the legendary Finnish shipyard Nautor presented a new small model in the current performance cruiser series at boot 2022 in Düsseldorf. She is large enough to offer the high level of comfort and luxury for long cruises and extended stays on board that we came to expect from a Swan while also being easily manageable for private owners and their families without requiring the help of a professional crew. As usual long-time Swan designer Germán Frers found the optimal balance between superior performance and safe, well-natured sailing qualities. The Nautor Swan 55 is a mile muncher for blue water sailors who enjoy elegant lines and contemporary design. The clever deck layout creates a good compromise between protection in the cockpit, unobstructed areas on deck for safe movement in uncomfortable conditions and ample room and living space at anchor in the bay. Below decks, Italian designer Misa Poggi created a bright, friendly interior that breathes a modern ambience while still exuding traditional Scandinavian boatbuilder's quality. The Swan 55 hull number #202 offered here is a special yacht in many aspects: The owner ticked practically all boxes on the options list when ordering her. Sail handling is simplified by a hydraulic SELDEN carbon fiber furling mast, RECKMANN hydraulic furlers for headsail and Code-0, as well as a self-tacking jib and electric winches. The central rig hydraulics also control the halyard tension of mainsail, self-tacking jib and staysail and trim the backstay and kicker. Below decks, the yacht has a full range of comfort equipment including air conditioning, diesel heating, diesel generator, watermaker, large inverter, lithium service battery bank, washer-dryer, etc. Comprehensive B&G navigation electronics with four plotters, radar antenna, large mast displays and two independent autopilots. 3-cabin layout with additional multifunctional space to port aft and Swan Soul interior in light European oak.
